1966 Aero Commander/Meyers 200D • N123CU

1966 Meyers 200D, built by Aero-Commander. This particular plane was successfully raced in England in the 1980's. It's been in the USA since that time though, based in the dry climate of northern Arizona.

The one-of-a-kind dragon-illustrated paint scheme was repainted six years ago along with work on the interior. The condition of the paint, which makes it an instantly-recognized example of an uncommon airplane, is rated a 7 out of 10 while the interior is rated 7 out of 10.

This unique plane was featured as a cover story in the 1992 issue of the UK magazine "Flyer" (with the previous dragon paint). A copy of this article is available. It's also been featured on several television programs.

1966 Aero Commander/Meyers 200D T.C.H. 10.520-A, 3173 T.T.,1043.5 S.M.O.H. Retractable single. Very fast, comfortable airplane with all around visibility. Climb at 1000 f.p.m. at 120 KTAS, cruises at 182 KTAS. Aircraft is thoroughly maintained and flown regularly. Interior is leather, exterior metallic paint. Good basic IFR panel. Complete records, all A.D's and maintenance by Tom Brouty's Aviation Watertown, NY (consultation as needed with Keith Diver, from the original Meyers facility in Tecumseh). Very reliable flying machine in excellent condition. You will fall in love with this airplane!

Restored, recovered, painted in 1996, engine overhauled to new specs, 1999, and inspected and case modified for new cylinder studs, link rod bolts and front main bearing by Radial Engines Limited, 2000. Aircraft has dual controls, push to talk, brakes in both cockpits, Airwolf oil filter, hydraulic brakes, (replacing mechanical), electrical system, position lights, Jasco alternator, electric start, Terra flip flop radio, Terra transponder, intercom, Garmin GPS, recent tires and tubes, Hooker harnesses.  Radios/intercom, provides easy communications and transponder allows easy flight in controlled airspace.  Hydraulic brakes makes for reliable handling.
